Ghana have defeated South Africa 2 - 1. Ghana go through along with Algeria from Group C.

GOAL - GHANA!
SECOND HALF UNDERWAY
South Africa get us underway, they are playing from right to left.
ALGERIA v SENEGAL
Algeria lead Senegal 1-0 at halftime.
South Africa lead by 1 - 0 against Ghana after a brilliant goal by Masango.
The Black Stars go through to the last eight, along with Algeria.
FULL TIME: Ghana 2-1 South Africa.
Ayew skews a shot wide.
Three minutes of added time to come.
Braimah gets booked for time wasting.
But the Black Stars are throwing bodies on the line as Letsholonyane has a shot blocked.
South Africa have found some composure and are on the front foot again.

That goal came just after Algeria scored a second against Senegal.

The pressure continues to build from the Black Stars.

Good keeping from Khuzwayo gets a crucial hand to a cross. Senegal are still trailing 1-0 to Algeria. South Africa must score again if they are to go through.

The game is starting to open up nicely. Gyan appeals for a penalty after a clash with Jali, but nothing giving.
With Algeria leading Senegal 1-0, Bafana need to score one more goal to draw level on goal difference and points with the Lions of Teranga.

GOAL! Masango rifles in a brilliant volley.
Bafana are struggling to hold onto possession when they do get the ball. The Black Stars are certainly the better team so far.
Good defending from South Africa as they clear two crosses.
Rantie is dispossessed, Ghana break up field and earn a throw in near the corner flag.

Its the South Africans who find themselves under siege in the opening minutes.
Bafana escape as Mathoho clears the ball off the line, following some poor goalkeeping from Khuzwayo, who had spilled Atsu's shot.
Mensah nearly opens the scoring when he heads just wide from Wakaso's free kick.
Its Ghana who are looking more comfortable on the ball. Gyan earns a free kick 30-yards out.
The early action is fast paced, with no time to dwell on the ball.
Ghana with the early initiative, but South Africa are working hard to close down their options.

South Africa though, with just one point from two games, have to win the match, while the Black Stars could even lose the game and go through – there are lots of permutations for all four countries and we’ll keep you updated as the evening unfolds!
In three previous AFCON matches between these sides, Bafana Bafana have won two, while there has been one draw.
Ghana have made one change to the side that beat Algeria 1-0, while SA coach Shakes Mashaba has made four changes.
