15:47 - Khune lifts the trophy as Bafana celebrate their win. Good luck to the Springboks who will be playing at the same stadium later today. Cheers folks!

15:35 - Tshabalala earns himself the MOTM award after a solid display in midfield. Igesund says his happy with Bafana's performance. "They could have scored more, but I'm happy they are creating chances," he said.

15:30 - Nomandela taps in from close range after some terrific play from Chabangu. That should seal it for the South Africans.

15:29 - GOAL!!!!!

15:28 - TWEET:

Soccer City's magnificence directly in proportion to the shambles of officials outside and their attempts manage traffic and parking. -

15:25 - The fans at Soccer City look to having a jol of a time. Mad support for the home nation as we enter the last minute of full-time.

15:17 - Six minutes left here at FNB Stadium. BF pressing now. Bafana need to hold on if they don't want an upset.

15:08 - Free-kick opportunity for SA just outside the box. Brilliantly taken by Van Heerden, whose attempt at goal hits the crossbar after leaving the goalkeeper flailing for air.

15:05 - The commentator says 'maybe Tshabalala is getting tired' after he sends his umpteenth shot wide of the mark.

Good debut for this Bongani Zungu. Had a fantastic season . Hope he doesn't rust & fade from warming the bench at Chloorkop - @siya_mahlaba

15:01 - SA have a free-kick from the right. They send it in low to the edge of the area dragging a player out to shoot but his effort goes shamefully wide.

14:58 - More good movement and promising interplay from Bafana. Ball ends up at Tshabalala's feet on the edge of the area on the right, but his shot goes flying over the bar. Becoming a somewhat familiar sight from SA shooters now.

14:49 - Yet another chance goes begging after some silky passing from SA. They need to make these opportunities count. Luckily the hosts are one up or it would be a case of same old, same old. Bafana doing everything right, yet can't score.

14:43 - SA steal possession early but BF seem keen to assert themselves in the this half. Bafana need to make sure they don't let this one slip.

14:42 - The players are making their way back onto the field to get the second-half underway. BF to kick-off.

14:38

Bafana goalscorer Siphiwe Tshabalala has been in top form today against BF. He has been menacing in midfield and looks keen to score more after putting his country a goal up in the first-half.

14:25 - Ref blows for halftime. Really good first-half for Bafana. Should have been two up though hey!

14:23 - Letsholonyane hits the upright after another attack from SA! Piling on the pressure now. Make it count boys!

14:20 - Nice direct attack from Bafana straight through midfield results in Parker sending a shot flying high over the bar. Seems to be lacking composure today.

14:14 - The commentator's use of the Afrikaans word 'Skitterend' to describe Tshabalala's goal. Priceless!

14:08 - Midfielders Zunga and Tshabalala are really fired-up for this one. Zunga's passing and penetration is proving to be a bane for BF and Tshabalala is looking hungry to score again.

Laduuuuuumaaaaa!! Top goal by Tshabalala!! take the lead!

- @Earl78

14:03 - SA will do well to keep this momentum going and get some more first-half goals. BF still look threatening upfront despite the pressure form the home nation.

14:02 - Tshabalala hits a low drive into the bottom left corner (22 minutes in) after some neat passing in the midfield. Great start for the South Africans!

14:02 - GOAL!!!

14:01 - SA looking much better than they did on Wednesday when they lost to Nigeria.

13:59 - TWEET:

Good luck to and the today. Wish I was at the FNB stadium today. - @GasantAbarder

13:54 - Very poor ball in from Tshabalala from the left. Seemed to have lost concentration there.

13:53 - Free-kick to Bafana just outside the area. Off the wall and away for a corner.

13:52 - Bafana should take advantage of this opportunity to boost their morale ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier.

Great to see player finally get a game for - well deserved. - George Dearnaley @zulushark

13:44 - Second corner of the match goes to BF, they fail to make it count.

13:43 - First chance of the match falls to Parker, but he turns into a BF defender, who clears to safety.

13:40 - Bafana looking good in possession. Maintaining some neat interplay in the middle of the park.

13:39 - Players take their positions now as SA set to get matters underway with the kick-off. Let's Go!!

13:36 - Bafana Bafana will look to bounce back with a better performance after losing 2-0 to African champions Nigeria in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in midweek.

13:33 - Marc van Heerden looks confident ahead of his debut for South Africa as they get ready to face AFCON finalists Burkina Faso.
