Cape Town - Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune is set to undergo a trial with German Bundesliga outfit, VfB Stuttgart.
The German outfit are in the country for a mid-season camp and requested to assess the 26-yeal-old goalkeeper, reports the Kick-Off website.
The “Spider Kid” is currently with the national team in Cape Town ahead of the 2014 African Nations Championship (Chan), which kick-off this weekend.
Stuttgart representative, Fredi Bobic, said at a press conference that they got a request from Khune’s agent if they can assess him for a couple of days.
Khune’s current contract with Chiefs runs until June 2015.
Stuttgart play local club Vasco da Gama in Stellenbosch on Thursday night, and also face Dutch team PEC Zwolle on Saturday before concluding their tour against Ajax Cape Town at the Philippi Stadium next Tuesday.
