Khune: We won't disgrace fans

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana skipper Itumeleng Khune says the main objective for the national team is to do their best against Spain when they clash in an international friendly at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

The South African Sports Star of the Year insists his team-mates will not take a back seat in front of their home fans.

In an interview with the SowetanLIVE website, the goalkeeper said they won’t sit back and defend and will be out to employ an attacking game plan.

He also assured fans will witness a spectacle with some of the world’s best players in action.

The “Spider-Kid” concluded by predicting that Spanish dominance will end on Tuesday and that they will not disgrace their fans at the 95 000-seater stadium.

Khune said it would be nice to win the game, especially after he claimed the Sports Star of the Year award at Sun City on Sunday.

The game will commence at 21:00.
