Khune: Bafana raring to go

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune said he is relishing the prospect of playing against some of football’s big names.

According to SAFA, the Kaizer Chiefs 'keeper will start and captain the South Africans as they intend to complete a double against the Central Americans whom they beat way back in 2003.

“I am really looking forward to the match against Costa Rica; in fact the entire team is just raring to go and show that they can mix it up with the best in the world,” said Khune who added he had shrugged off any injury concerns which kept him out of Chiefs’ Cup game against Platinum Stars.

Kick-off is at 04:00 SA time on Friday, October 9.

Starting XI: Khune (captain), Ngcongca, Coetzee, Mathoho, Lebusa, Jali, Zungu, Masango, Serero, Lebese, Vilakazi.
