Josephs thrilled to be back

2012-09-05 12:58

Johannesburg - Moeneeb Josephs says he is happy to be back in the Bafana Bafana squad following their first training session ahead of Friday's clash against Brazil.

The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper announced his retirement from international football earlier this year, but quickly turned that decision around following the appointment of Gordon Igesund as coach.

The former Moroka Swallows tactician took charge of his first training session on Tuesday, and Josephs feels the entire squad were able to take plenty of positives from the workout.

"It's good to be back and having returned to the national team it was just a great training session," he said.

"It was our first but I really enjoyed myself. It was more relaxed and we were able as players to enjoy from the beginning to the end."

Bafana will square up against Brazil at the Estadio do Morumbi on Friday as Igesund's team kick-off their preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

That is a good spirit and please don't loose hope when you are on the bench, just continue working hard and maybe you might find the spot in the first 11. I don't that KFC advert where Khune tells Josephs that there is only one spot for goalkeeper in the Bafana and it is already taken, and Joseph was laughing

It's very funny sometimes what Bafana Bafana does, you are preparing for Africa Cup of Nations, instead of preparing around the continent, and get the feel of what it is like it is, you are busy going away to a different football style and wast money, You will play with Brazil once and forget the style hence you can play with as many contries in your homeland and get enough energy for 2014, and win the cup. You will never hear Brazil coming to Africa for their South America competitions, they train around there, that's why they have one system of play so too in Europe and the lest, its only in the Southern Africa where we play individual systems, parade aroud Africa Bafana Bafana and get the touch, dont be pride, put your money in good use. so soon the coach will be on the blame because of poor planning of matches.
