Josephs open to Bafana return

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs remains coy over a return to Bafana Bafana, but admits he will make a decision "when the time is right".

The Buccaneers shot stopper announced his retirement from international football at the beginning of May, citing family issues and club commitments as his reason for hanging up his South African gloves.

Former Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane had declared the door would always be open for the keeper to return, and the appointment of Gordon Igesund as new head tactician has raised the possibility of Josephs taking up that option.

However, the 32-year-old would not go into any detail over those claims, telling The New Age: "I cannot really say anything about that. I am not ready to comment on it, but I will speak when the time is right."

Bafana Bafana well next be in action on September 7 when they take on world footballing giants Brazil in a friendly in Sao Paulo.
