Igesund slams Keet coach

Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has slammed KV Kortrijk coach
Hein Vanhaezebrouck over his reluctance to release goalkeeper Darren
Keet for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
According to
football411.com website, the 23-year-old former Vasco and Wits stopper is expected to be
third choice behind Itumeleng Khune and Moeneeb Josephs and
Vanhaezebrouck sees no reason why he should lose his keeper to sit on
the bench.
Igesund though feels his counterpart is speaking out of turn and
will do whatever it takes to ensure he has Keet as back up during the
competition.
Vanhaezebrouck was reported as saying last week: "Keet must
choose. I understand that the Nations Cup is in his own country and to
take part would be a fantastic experience.
"But if you are going there as the third goalkeeper and you know
you aren't going to play a single minute, then do you really have to
go?"
Igesund responded by telling the Sowetan: "Not that I'm
disrespecting him (Vanhaezebrouck) but that coach is out of order,
totally out of order.
"The coach has a problem and I will not compromise because this
is a tournament and if Keet is selected I'll expect him to be here.
"But I will not fight with him because at the end of the day we all have rights and if I call him he will be here.
"I'm not going to go and solve his problem."
