Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund will hear his fate at a special South African Football Association (SAFA) meeting next Thursday, Die Burger's website reports.
SAFA president Danny Jordaan said he is aware of rumours doing the rounds about Igesund's job, but said the role is not vacant at present.
He did, however, mention that Igesund would need to submit a report to the international council and technical committee at next week's meeting.
"At the moment Gordon has a contract and there will be a meeting regarding his job next week. He, a medical officer and the manager of the team will submit reports (about the recently concluded African Nations Championship). After the meeting, questions asked about the coach in the last while will be answered," said Jordaan.
Igesund's job has come under spotlight after Bafana failed to qualify past the group stages of the CHAN tournament last month.
Jordaan wants the matter to be sorted before Bafana tackle Brazil in Johannesburg next month.
