According to KickOff, Khune admits that the competition for Bafana Bafana’s first choice goalkeeper is tough.
“I think we have three quality keepers and all three of us deserve to start but we will work very hard during the camp. We have two friendly games and I am sure all of us will get a chance,” said Khune.
Khune was sidelined through injury last year September and failed to make Shakes Mashaba’s 23-man squad for Equatorial Guinea to partake in the AFCON tournament.
“It feels great to be back again in the national team since I have been out for a very long time and having watched Bafana doing so well I felt like I wanted to be part of that squad.
“I have been given another chance to mix with the new players in the Bafana team and I think my experience will bring a lot of good things,” added Khune.
