Downs avail players for Chan

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns have announced they will release all of their players called up by Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund for the 2014 African Nations Championship (Chan).

According to the supersport.com website, Sundowns had released a statement on Sunday saying that the club is "yet to make a decision on releasing players for the Chan 2014 Tournament", as the holiday period made it difficult to get everyone involved around the table to "discuss the possibilities."

The club has since announced on their website that they will be releasing all five players called up for national duty.

"Mamelodi Sundowns will release all of the players that were called up by Bafana Bafana for the Chan tournament, in line with the decision that was taken during a tele-conference meeting involving Dr Danny Jordaan, Dr Irvin Khoza, Mr Kaizer Motaung and Mr Patrice Motsepe" the club said.

The players in question are Hlompho Kekana, Katlego Mashego, Bryce Moon, Tebogo Langerman, and Jabu Shongwe.
