Cole: We will beat Bafana

Johannesburg - Sierra Leone boss Christian Cole is confident his side can repeat their victory over South Africa when they host Pitso Mosimane's men on Sunday.

Bafana Bafana travel to Freetown on Friday as favourites as they aim to add to their victory over Niger in their opening AFCON 2012 qualifying clash.

However, Mosimane's charges have never won in the Sierra Leone capital and Cole is determined to keep it that way.

He told SierraExpressMedia: "We defeated them in Freetown in the last qualifier, and this is a fact I am determined to maintain our 100% record over South Africa this Sunday.

"I watched them during the World Cup they hosted in South Africa and other competitions they have played in the past, and I know they are a very good side, but we are ready to upset them in Freetown."

The Leone Stars coach played down suggestions that his squad's lack of time together would affect them at the weekend.

"The players I have invited are all actively playing for their clubs in Europe which I believe is good for me in the absence of trial matches.

"My responsibility is to tell them the system I want them to play when they assemble here."

The West African outfit are brimming with confidence after they managed to hold Egypt to a draw in Cairo and Cole says if they beat South Africa, qualification is imminent.

"If we win in Freetown against South Africa nothing will stop us from reaching the finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea in 2012.

"We have started on an excellent note against Egypt and we hope to build on that against South Africa."
