Basetsana drops four players

Cape Town - South Africa under-20 girls team are preparing for the World Cup qualifiers against Botswana on Saturday in Gaborone and the technical team has dropped four players.

Coach Shirly Botes told Sport24 that the four have mainly been dropped because they are Under 16 and with the new Home Affairs rules they can't travel.

Botes however said that they are ready to go and finish off the encounter after winning 8-1 at home last week Sunday.

"Yes we are only taking 20 players because the others are still Under 16 and we can't get their birth certificates in time for the trip hence they have to remain behind.  But we are confident we will do well inBotswana and win to make sure we qualify for the next round," Botes said.

If Basetsana qualify for the next round they will face the winners between Zambia and Tanzania. Tanzania list 2-0 at home to Zambia at home.
