Bartlett confident about SA's Olympic hopes

Cape Town - Shaun Bartlett, the SA Under-23 assistant coach, says he is very confident that both the SA Under-23 and Banyana Banyana teams will be victorious this weekend.

Both teams are currently involved with Olympic qualifying games with SA Under-23s set to meet Zimbabwe and Banyana Banyana set to meet their Kenayn counterparts.

The Under-23s drew 1-1 in their first leg match away to Zimbabwe while Banyana Banyana beat Kenya 1-0 at home.

"This is a massive week for South African football," Under-23 assistant coach Shaun Bartlett told SAFA's official website.

"I am confident that come the end of Saturday and Sunday, both the Under-23 and Banyana Banyana will have taken a major stride towards qualifying for Rio 2016.

"This will almost be unprecedented but expected taking into consideration the effort put into our game by the SAFA leadership and all those involved."
