Bafana visit Red Cross hospital

Cape Town - The young patients of Red Cross Children's hospital in Cape Town were pleasantly surprised on Saturday morning with a visit from their local football heroes when Bafana Bafana players and technical team took time out of their day to put a smile on the ailing children's faces.

According to the snl24.com/soccerladuma website, the national team is hard at work preparing for an international friendly against Norway next week, in the build up to the 2013 African Cup of Nations, which takes place later this month.

Yet the team decided to take time out of their busy schedule to visit their fans and, while they were at it, also made the decision to donate money to the hospital from their own pocket.

When ABSA heard of the team's donation, the bank decided to top up the total, and together they contributed a total of R20 000 to the hospital.
