Bafana still await to assess Masilela

Cape Town – Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba reveals that there is nothing disturbing in Tsepo Masilela’s failure to pitch up for training camp.

Sport24 reported that Masilela along with Thulani Serero are in doubt to feature for Bafana Bafana due to injuries which their respective clubs [Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Amsterdam] made the national team aware of.

Both players were due to arrive on Tuesday, September 1 in order to be assessed by Bafana Bafana’s medical team.

According to KickOff, Mashaba confirmed that they are still awaiting the player to arrive at the national, where South Africa are preparing for their AFCON 2017 qualifier against Mauritania on Saturday, September 5.

“Most unfortunately there isn’t much to talk about,” adds Mashaba.

“We are waiting for him to come and the doctor will give us his findings, and then we’ll take it from there."
