Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana and Maccabi Haifa left back Tsepo Masilela is believed to be on the wanted list of a number of top European clubs.
The player performed well for the South African team that competed in the FIFA World Cup and proved his ability to play football at the highest level while playing for his Israeli club in the Europa League.
The culmination of this has led to interest from English Premiership team Birmingham City, amongst others, and a representative from the club is expected to watch Masilela in action this week.
According to The Daily Mail, trusted scout and coach Andy Watson will watch the Bafana Bafana star play for Maccabi Haifa during midweek.
Coach Alex McLeish confirmed the club is looking to strengthen their squad.
“We are still working on one or two things but at the moment there’s no breakthrough. With the season looming, we have to add more quality,” he said.
