Cape Town - Sport24 looks at all the numbers behind the provisional Bafana Bafana AFCON 2015 squad.

Bafana Bafana's provisional squad by numbers:

2 - Two Orlando Pirates left backs have made the squad – Thabo Matlaba and Patrick Phungwayo.

4 - Number of leagues represented (South Africa’s PSL, Belgium’s Jupiter, Netherlands’ Eredvisie and England’s Championship).

11 - Siyabonga Mpontshane, Mzikayise Mashaba and Asavele Mbekile have played just 11 PSL games between them this season but still make the squad.

16 - Itumeleng Khune’s number 16 jersey will be free after the former captain’s exclusion.

19 - Number of clubs represented.

23 - South Africa’s final AFCON 2015 squad will be made up of 23 players.

30 - On December 30, 2015 Shakes Mashaba will name his final squad to travel to Equitorial Guinea.

34 - Number of players making up the provisional AFCON  2015 squad.

68 - Bernard Parker is the most capped player in the squad with 68 caps for the national team.
