Bafana put two past Polokwane

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana eased past Polokwane City in a friendly match against the PSL outfit on Monday evening.

Goals from Chippa United’s David Zulu and Orlando Pirates’ Kermit Erasmus ensured as well as another clean sheet ensured the national team's preparations for the return fixture against Congo on Wednesday continue to progress smoothly. 

Soccer-Laduma report that the friendly match lasted just 70 minutes with Shakes Mashaba opting to play several of fringe players in the fixture.

In-form striker David Zulu opened the scoring before Kermit Erasmus failed to convert a penalty after Sibusiso Khumalo was fouled in the box.

Erasmus continued to impress with Chippa United goalkeeper Dino Visser responsible for keeping Erasmus at bay.

The Orlando Pirates striker would eventually add his name to the scoresheet later in the fixture. 

Bafana Bafana face Congo on Wednesday, October 15 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium with the AFCON 2015 qualifier set to start at 20:05.
