Bafana on top at the break

Cape Town - The crisis in the build up to their CHAN qualifier showed little to no effect as Bafana Bafana scored three goals in the first half against Mauritius.

After battling to take a number of early chances against a weak Mauritius side, the national team clicked into gear to grab the lead in the 25th minute.

Thamsanqa Gabuza ghosted in at the back post to score his second goal in as many matches for the national team.

Bafana Bafana made it two minutes later after some fine interplay saw Mandla Masango send Sphelele Ntshangase through on goal and he made no mistake to strike home.

Sphelele Ntshangase got his brace in the 44th minute after more fine teamwork with Gabuza.
