According to SAFA’s website, South Africa touched down in Polokwane over the weekend following their scintillating 2-0 win over Congo in Pointe Noire on Saturday, courtesy of goals from strike duo Bongani Ndulula and Tokelo Rantie.
It is reported that City and Bafana will face each other on Monday evening at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. The match will be played "behind closed doors" which will give Shakes Mashaba a second glance at fringe players.
Kick-off will be at 19:00.
Mashaba used this tactic prior to the fixture against Nigeria in Cape Town when the national side played against Santos. During that game young star Fagrie Lakay scored against Bafana Bafana.
Bafana Bafana are set to have their final training session on Tuesday evening at the match venue.
Tickets for the qualifier are still available at Computicket outlets and also at Shoprite/Checkers, Shoprite and Checkers stores countrywide.
They are selling at R50 and R100.
Bafana Bafana are set to play Congo on Wednesday, October 15 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium with the AFCON qualifier set to start at 20:05.
