Bafana duo out injured

Johannesburg - Goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs and forward Tlou Segolela have been withdrawn from the Bafana Bafana squad to face Niger due to injury.

South Africa will take on Niger in a 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier, on September 4, in the capital Niamey.

Josephs is suffering from a shoulder injury while Segolela is struggling with a knee injury.

The Orlando Pirates duo, along with midfielder Oupa Manyisa, went for an MRI scan on August 29.

Manyisa was given a clean bill of health, but Segolela and Josephs were declared unfit to continue with camp.

Josephs’ place will be taken by Sean Roberts of Ajax Cape Town, who is expected to arrive in camp on August 31, along with goalkeepers Itumeleng Khune and Wayne Sandilands.
