Bafana slip in FIFA rankings

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana have dropped one place in the latest FIFA rankings and are now ranked as the 12th best side in Africa.

South Africa have dropped one place in the FIFA rankings into 52nd place in the world it was confirmed on Thursday.

Zambia are the biggest movers in the latest FIFA rankings as Chipolopolo climbed 16 places to sit in 46th position globally and 10th best in Africa.

The Zambians dramatic rise means that South Africa drop one spot to be ranked as the 12th best team on the continent. 

Bafana Bafana will get a chance to test their game against Zambia when the two sides meet in a friendly on January 4. (Read that story HERE!)

FIFA Africa rankings:

1. Algeria
2. Tunisia
3. Ivory Coast
4. Senegal
5. Ghana
6. Guinea
7. Cape Verde
8. Cameroon
9. Nigeria
10. Zambia
11. Mali
12. South Africa

There were no changes to the Top 10 in the world rankings with Germany still occupying the number one spot.
