Bafana drop in FIFA rankings

Cape Town - South Africa fell two positions to 76th in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Wednesday.

Bafana lost 1-0 against Brazil in Sao Paulo last month, going down for the first time in seven official matches this year.

Four days later they beat neighbours Mozambique 2-0 in Nelspruit.

Bafana will continue their preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations when they play friendly internationals against Poland in Warsaw on October 12 and Kenya in Nairobi on October 16.

Bafana are ranked 19th in Africa.

Meanwhile, Spain continue to head the rankings from Germany, with Portugal up one position to third overall.
