Bafana do their 67 minutes

Kitwe - Bafana Bafana have pledged to contribute to the '67 minutes campaign' in Zambia to celebrate former President Nelson Mandela's 95th birthday on Thursday.

According the Sowetan’s website, Bafana, currently still in Zambia after being knocked out of the Cosafa Cup on penalties following a 0-0 draw against hosts Zambia, will team up with players from Cosafa Cup teams Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Angola to honour Mandela with acts of human kindness.

The Bafana players will hand out food, toys, clothing and tools to HIV/Aids orphans at the SOS Children’s Village in Kitwe.

Zambia’s players will visit St Anthony Children’s Village, Zimbabwe will greet the Friends of the Street Children NGO, Lesotho will support the Ubumi Project Africa, whilst Angola’s players will be at the Buyantanshi Community School in Ndola.

Bafana face Lesotho in the Cosafa Cup third-place playoff on Saturday, July 20 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Ndola (13:00 kick-off).
