Cape Town - Amajita, as South Africa’s U20 national team is affectionately known, will look to emulate their compatriots, Amajimbos, the U17 national team, by also qualifying for an upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Amajimbos secured their spot at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile after finishing runners-up at the recent CAF U17 Youth Championships (AYC).

Amajita’s journey to the U20 World Cup, also taking place this year, will see them take a similar route to that of Amajimbos, an eight-team U20 AYC doubling up as a qualifying campaign for the World Cup in New Zealand.
