According to safa.net, Amajita prevailed 1-0 in a 30-minute-a-side game in drizzling conditions on the East Rand.
The Under-20 team leaves for Qatar en-route to Russia while the Under-17 team travels to Lusaka for a date with their Zambian counterparts. Both Amajita and Amajimbos will play their matches on Saturday.
“This was a very worthwhile exercise,” said Amajita stand in coach David Notoane.
“We wanted to give the boys a good run and have a match-like atmosphere. This has given us a good indication of where we want to improve and tighten up things.”
Amajimbos mentor, Molefi Ntseki, said the Under-20 team had given his boys the kind of test they needed ahead of their meeting their West African counterparts during the CAF African Youth tournament in Niger next month.
“I like the direction South African football is taking. Ours is Road to Chile because I am very confident that we will be among the top four countries in Niger,” said Ntseki.
