Bafana up in world rankings

Johannesburg - afana Bafana has moved up five places to number 72 in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Wednesday.
Joel Santana’s side moved ahead of the likes of Senegal and Wales, but remain a disappointing 17th on the African continent.
The CAF rankings are headed by Cameroon, followed by Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Egypt, with the likes of Libya, Uganda and Gambia still ahead of South Africa.
In the global rankings, Spain has maintained its dominance at the top, but the Netherlands have moved into second place, overtaking Germany who drop to third.
Italy has also moved up one place to fourth at the expense of Brazil, who are fifth.
England has overtaken Argentina to go sixth, while the top 10 is rounded out by Croatia, Russia and then France.
