According to KickOff, Furman missed training due to a thigh muscle problem and is now in a race against time to be fit for Bafana Bafana's last Group C fixture on Tuesday.

Reports suggest that the Bafana Bafana captain is expected to line up against the Black Stars despite sitting out of training.

South Africa will need maximum points against the Black Stars but at the same time need Senegal to overcome Algeria if they are to have any chance of qualifying.

Bafana Bafana are set to play Ghana on Tuesday, January 27 at Estadio de Mongomo.

Kick-off is at 20:00 (SA time).
