WATCH: Jones apologises to Stormers fans

Cape Town - Eddie Jones has issued an apology - along with an explanation - as to why he will be leaving the Stormers to take on the England coaching job.

A mere eight days after a conference where he pledged his commitment to the Cape franchise, Jones is in London having been confirmed as Stuart Lancaster successor at Twickenham.

There had been plenty of speculation about Jones' future ever since his arrival in Cape Town earlier this month and he officially received an offer on Wednesday which proved "impossible to turn down".

The Stormers confirmed on Friday that Jones had signed a deal with the English RFU.
