London - Wales wing Alex Cuthbert has signed a new contract with Cardiff Blues, the Celtic League outfit announced on Tuesday, without disclosing the length of the deal.
Cuthbert, who turned 26 on Tuesday, has been capped 42 times by Wales, but will miss June's three-Test tour of New Zealand after recently undergoing knee surgery in Sweden.
"I've really enjoyed the environment and culture this season at Cardiff Blues under (head coach) Danny Wilson and the direction we are all now heading in," Cuthbert said in a statement on the Cardiff website.
"The players have really bought into the style of rugby we're looking to produce and that has been reflected in the results over the last six months.
"I am pleased to sign a new contract at Cardiff Blues and I am looking forward to getting back to full fitness and the start of next season."
England-born Cuthbert joined Cardiff in 2011 and has made 79 appearances to date, scoring 37 tries.
