Star France pair to quit Toulouse

Toulouse - France internationals Yoann Maestri and Jean-Marc Doussain will both quit Toulouse at the end of the season, the Top 14 club announced on Wednesday.

Lock Maestri, who captained the French reserves in a narrow defeat by a second-string New Zealand on Tuesday, has been capped 59 times by France and has been at Toulouse for nine seasons.

Media reports say that the 29-year-old, who like Doussain has won two French titles and the 2010 European Cup with Toulouse, will join La Rochelle on a three-year deal.

Doussain, 26 and capped 17 times, is reported to be in talks with Lyon.

Both players are at the end of their contracts.

"We had long discussions with Jean-Marc and Yoann over many meetings. We didn't reach a deal, and they'll play in different colours next season," said Toulouse president Didier Lacroix.
