Durban - S'bura Sithole says the Sharks will be aiming to achieve positive results this season.
The Sharks experienced a difficult year in 2015, with disappointing results in the Vodacom Cup, Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. They failed to qualify for the play-offs in all three competitions.
However, the men from Durban will be starting their pre-season preparations from Thursday as they hope to improve matters in 2016.
Sharks flyer Sithole believes they have what it takes to do much better this season.
“We were very disappointed with what happened last year. This season, we want to right our wrongs with this talented squad we have at the Sharks,” Sithole told MyPlayers.co.za.
“In 2015, we had many new faces in the squad and it was a big learning curve, but we have no more excuses. We can’t play as individuals as we’ve learned to play as a team for an entire season.
“We got a great mix of experience and exciting players. We need to make sure we build good momentum in 2016.”
Sithole, who featured at wing and centre during 2015, said he wants to play his part in the Sharks’ revival.
“I felt that I had a good Super Rugby last season, so I want to come back even stronger this year,” said Sithole. “My goals are to help the Sharks achieve success and achieve higher honours, but I can’t get ahead of myself. I need to ensure I play well week in and week out as I want consistency in my game. If I can achieve this, the rewards will come.”
