Shimange takes charge of Ikey Tigers

Cape Town - Former Springbok hooker Hanyani Shimange is ready for the challenge of being head coach of the UCT Ikey Tigers during this year’s Varsity Cup.

Shimange replaces Kevin Musikanth, who coached the team to considerable success in the last few years.

"I have been the head coach of the club side before, so the role will not be a new experience. Everyone has their task, which makes it a collaborative effort - the entire management has been great and made things a lot easier because they are doing their bit,” Shimange told Rugby365.

Shimange, 37, played nine Tests for the Springboks between 2004 and 2006.
