New name for Free State Stadium

Cape Town - The home ground of the Cheetahs has been renamed Toyota Stadium after Toyota South Africa Motors renewed their sponsorship for another three years.

The Cheetahs’ home ground was formerly known as Free State Stadium, but will now carry the Toyota name.

The new contract will include the title sponsorship for the Super Rugby team as well as the Currie Cup and junior teams.

The Cheetahs open their Super Rugby campaign at home against the Jaguares on Friday (19:00 kick-off).

As part of celebrating their sponsorship extension, the Cheetahs will wear a once-off special edition black playing kit for the first game against the Argentine side to celebrate the launch of the New Generation Hilux.

It's official! The Free State Stadium has a new name. It will now be called Toyota Stadium! - Cheetahs Rugby
