Mumm given all-clear to face England

Cape Town - Australia back-row Dean Mumm has been cleared to take on England at Twickenham this weekend after a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

Mumm was cited after last Saturday's 27-24 defeat to Ireland at the Aviva Stadium over a tip tackle on tighthead prop Tadhg Furlong.

While referee and assistant referee on the day, Jérôme Garcès and Nigel Owens, deemed the offence simply a yellow card in the match, the World Rugby commission deemed it serious enough for a hearing.

But World Rugby’s disciplinary committee has now determined that Mumm’s tackle did not in fact meet the red card threshold, thus the on-field penalty would remain the Wallaby flanker's only punishment.
