Lancaster to meet with Toulon

Cape Town - Former England head coach Stuart Lancaster is set to meet with Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal in Paris on Thursday, according to reports.

Lancaster has previously been linked with vacancies in Super Rugby with the Reds and Force.

The news comes after Boudjellal's alleged dissatisfaction with Diego Dominguez, who was brought in last season to understudy Bernard Laporte before taking over as director of rugby following Laporte's departure.

Dominguez reportedly has refused to work with Marc de Maso, who has been brought in as forwards coach to replace Jacques Delmas.

Dominguez is yet to be dismissed but speculation has grown in the last few days linking both Lancaster and former New Zealand head coach Graham Henry with the role.

Toulon, champions of Europe between 2013 and 2015, were knocked out of the Champions Cup at the quarter-final stage last season and lost out in the Top 14 final to Racing 92.
