Jones fires warning at Itoje

Cape Town - Maro Itoje should brace himself for his toughest season yet in 2017, says England coach Eddie Jones.

Itoje has taken the rugby world by storm since making his Test debut in February and was recently named European Player of the Year.

However, Jones has warned the 22-year-old lock that he will become a marked player as opponents start to target him.

"He’s a bit like a batsman who comes in and gets a couple of hundreds in his first Test," Jones told BT Sport’s Rugby Tonight

"The opposition start to work out his weaknesses. He’s got enormous potential. He has athletic qualities that could make him a standout player. The test for Maro is going to be now - he hasn’t had it yet."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
