Japanese RWC star moves to England

Bath - One of the stars of Japan's breakthrough Rugby World Cup campaign is heading to England to play his club rugby.

No. 8 Amanaki Mafi will join Bath from Japanese club NTT Shining Arcs in January for the rest of the season.

Mafi scored tries for Japan against Scotland and the United States in the Rugby World Cup, and played in the 34-32 win over South Africa that ranks as the greatest upset in the tournament's history.

Mafi says "I know that joining (Bath) will be the best environment for me to continue developing my game. I'm also looking forward to a new adventure in England."

Bath announced the signing on Tuesday.
