Harris joins French club Lyon

Lyon - Australian flyhalf Mike Harris has signed a two-year deal with French second tier leaders Lyon ahead of their likely promotion to the Top 14, the club announced on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old has played 60 matches in Super Rugby and is currently with the Melbourne Rebels after a stint with the Queensland Reds.

The New Zealand-born back has played 10 times for the Wallabies, scoring 55 international points since making his debut in 2012.

"He is an excellent goal-kicker, a good creator, and is capable of playing at 10, 12 or 15.

"He plays very well at either fly-half or inside centre and that, coupled with his kicking game, gives us a lot of interesting possibilities and a lot of options of the field," said Lyon general manager Pierre Mignoni.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
