De Allende laid low by injury

Cape Town - The Stormers have received a setback with the news that their Springbok centre Damian de Allende will be sidelined with an ankle injury.

De Allende currently plays club rugby in Japan for the Kintetsu Liners where he picked up the injury.

He was expected to return to Cape Town on January 31 in time for next year's Super Rugby competition, but according to Netwerk24, will now be sidelined for up to four months.

De Allende had a stellar 2015 season and was nominated for the SA Rugby Player of the Year award alongside Schalk Burger, Lood de Jager, Eben Etzebeth and Jaco Kriel.
