Conrad Smith out for six weeks

Pau - Pau's ex-All Black centre Conrad Smith has been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle tendon injury, the Top 14 club announced Tuesday.

Smith sustained the injury in the 32-27 defeat by Montpellier on the weekend and will undergo surgery in the coming days.

The 94-time capped Smith, an integral part of the All Blacks' World Cup-winning squads in 2011 and 2015, will miss three Top 14 games - Lyon and Grenoble at home and an away match at Toulouse.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
