Combrinck released to play for Golden Lions

Cape Town - Springbok wing Ruan Combrinck will run out for the Golden Lions when they face the Blue Bulls in a SuperSport Challenge match at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Friday (17:00).

Combrinck, who was in action for the SA ‘A’ side against the French Barbarians in Durban last week, has been sent back to the Lions.

Flank Kwagga Smith will also make his debut for the Golden Lions in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge, while scrumhalf Faf de Klerk also gets a start.

Front ranker Jacques van Rooyen will lead Golden Lions in the match that will serve as a curtain-raiser for the SA ‘A’ team's second encounter against the French Barbarians.
