Paris - Racing 92 stormed into the European Champions Cup quarter-finals on Sunday with a 64-14 pounding of Welsh side Scarlets.
The Paris outfit ran in nine tries in a one-sided rout with All Black star Dan Carter amassing 19 points with the boot.
That gave them a points total of 22 from five games and meant that they could not be caught at the top Pool 3 by either Northampton or Glasgow, who were playing each other later on Sunday.
Scarlets, who managed two tries of their own in a free-flowing contest, lost for the fifth straight time in this year's pool stages condemning them to a last place finish.
In the quarter-finals, Racing join Saracens and Leicester, who both ensured their qualification on Saturday.
Wasps could make it four through to the last eight later Sunday if they defeat reigning champions Toulon away from home.
