Bulls out to change perceptions

Cape Town - Improved scrummaging and better results overseas are two areas the Bulls are intent on improving in 2016.

According to coach Nollis Marais the Bulls must change perceptions regarding their performance at scrum time.

“The scrum is a big focus point and Gary (Botha, forwards coach) is working hard at it. Balie Swart (SARU’s scrum consultant) will also again come help us in February,” Marais told Netwerk24.

The Bulls have also been poor on the road in recent seasons, having lost all their matches in Australasia (Blues, Chiefs, Brumbies and Rebels) in 2015.

“We must correct it. It is something the Bulls did really well during the Heyneke Meyer-era. We’ll have to win at least matches overseas.”

On overseas trips in 2016, they Bulls will face the Sunwolves, Force, Brumbies, Waratahs and Jaguares.

The Bulls start their Super Rugby campaign away to the Stormers on Saturday, February 27.
