Cape Town - The Blue Bulls and Golden Lions rugby unions have expressed their condolences after the passing of former lock Andre Skinner.
Skinner died at the age of 56 on Wednesday after losing his battle with cancer.
The Bulls took toTwitter to pay tribute to the former giant lock:
"We are saddened by the loss of Andre Skinner, Northern Transvaal and Tukkies lock. Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones."
The message on the Golden Lions' Facebook page reads:
"Andre Skinner, former Transvaal and Northern Transvaal lock passed away this morning. Condolences to his family, he was a true gentleman of the game."
