Beaumont joins England as they prepare for Boks

London - Sale Sharks forward Josh Beaumont has been called into England's training squad ahead of their clash against the Springboks.

The uncapped Beaumont, who is the son of former England captain and current World Rugby chairperson Bill Beaumont, will act as injury cover for Courtney Lawes, who will remain with the squad.

According to England Rugby’s official website, Beaumont will join up with the squad at their training base in Portugal on Monday.

The uncapped 24-year-old, who can play in the back or second row, appeared in a non-Test cap victory for England over the Barbarians in May 2015 and also featured in Eddie Jones' first elite player squad last January before picking up an injury.

This season, Beaumont was named as captain of Sale Sharks.

England will play South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia in the coming weeks, starting with a game against the Boks on November 5.
