Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Pool C clash at the Rugby World Cup between defending champions New Zealand and Argentina from Wembley Stadium in London. We'll return soon with team news from both sides.

  • 0'

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has picked his strongest possible side for this match, with livewire Nehe Milner-Skudder starting on the right wing in the absence of the injured Waisake Naholo. The rest of the team is very familiar, with Dan Carter and Richie McCaw starting in their fourth World Cups, while nine of the starters also started the final four years ago. On the bench Hansen has gone with Victor Vito as second row cover, over Luke Romano, while Sam Cane is preferred to Liam Messam as back row cover. Beauden Barrett will be the back-up ten, and there is also a place on the bench for Sonny Bill Williams.

  • 0'

Argentina head coach Daniel Hourcade has named his strongest team as Los Pumas aim for a first-ever win over New Zealand. Santiago Cordero gets the nod on the right wing ahead of the likes of Horacio Agulla, and he, Juan Imhoff and Joaquin Tuculet will provide plenty of counter-attacking threat in the back three. There are no surprises in the front five, as Agustin Creevy leads the team at hooker, and last tighthead standing Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro starts alongside him. There is good news with Ramiro Herrera fit to take his place on the bench however, having struggled with a knee injury. Nicolas Sanchez unsurprisingly gets the nod at fly-half, and he will combine with the impressive Tomas Cubelli, who has edged ahead of Martin Landajo in the pecking order. Veteran centre pairing Juan Martin Hernandez and Marcelo Bosch are selected in midfield, and there is also plenty of experience in the back row in the shape of Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe and Leonardo Senatore.

Argentina face a daunting task as they are the first team to take on the defending champions, who have lost just three matches since lifting the Webb Ellis Cup on home soil four years ago. The last time the World Cup was played up north, Argentina finished third. They will be hoping to match that effort this time. The All Blacks and Argentina have played against each other 21 times with 20 wins to the All Blacks and a single draw. That playing history includes two Tests at Rugby World Cups: in pool play in 1987 and in the quarterfinal at RWC 2011.
