Kriel: We can make this right

Cape Town - Jesse Kriel has only played five Test matches, but he has already experienced more pain and anguish than most of the Springboks who came before him.

The Boks and coach Heyneke Meyer have been crucified on social media since losing to the Japanese on Saturday, but Kriel is trying his best to move on by focusing on Saturday's clash against Samoa instead.

"Obviously we were very disappointed with the result and how we played," said Kriel.

"But I think the great thing about rugby is we’ve got another opportunity this weekend to go and make it right. That is where everyone is at and obviously we’re going to review the game and go forward."

The Boks take on Samoa on Saturday at Villa Park. Kick-off is at 17:45.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
