Heyneke to stay on as Bok coach?

Cape Town - Heyneke Meyer is likely to remain in his post as Springbok head coach despite the team’s Rugby World Cup semi-final defeat.

The Boks’ World Cup hopes were shattered after they lost 20-18 to the All Blacks at Twickenham at the weekend.

The loss brings an end to South Africa's hopes of winning a third World Cup, but they still have the Bronze Final against Argentina to look forward to on Friday (22:00 SA time).

According to media reports Meyer will continue to coach the Boks in 2016 having already signed a contract extension.

Reports earlier in the year indicated that Meyer’s contract had been extended until 2019 however it was never confirmed by the South African Rugby Union (SARU).
